Sting will release The Last Ship (Expanded Edition), an updated version of his acclaimed album featuring five new recordings, on December 5, 2025, ahead of a series of highly anticipated international performances of his celebrated musical in which he will also star. In an Australian exclusive, 17-time Grammy Award winning artist Sting is set to perform in his musical, The Last Ship, at Queensland Performing Arts Centre’s (QPAC) newest venue, Glasshouse Theatre from 9 April to 3 May 2026. The global icon will play a leading role in a renewed version of The Last Ship, the acclaimed musical first developed by Sting in 2011 and initially inspired by his 1991 album The Soul Cages...

Sting wrapped up the summer leg of his European tour with a performance at the Latitude Festival in Suffolk last Friday. The Cambridge News reported that Sting "brought every single generation together" and "He was not only enjoyed by the older audience but was able to bring together families for the ideal end of the first full day of the festival". “Sting’s album ‘The Bridge’ is intimate (‘The Hills on the Border’) and introspective (‘Harmony Road’) with moments of declarative urgency (‘Rushing Water’) and delicate emotion (‘For Her Love).’ It’s also rife with motivic exploration (‘If It’s Love’) and playful fancy (‘Captain Bateman’s Basement’). I took these photos during the recording sessions for this album in the isolated times of November 2020...
